Hey Y’all,The Akin’s got baptized! Its been a really crazy and good week haha! So I’ll just talk about some of the highlights that happened this week leading up to the Baptism. Wednesday we had a really great lesson with this guy we have on date named Derrek! He’s a really great guy and has really just dived right into the book of Mormon! In our lesson with him we read in Ether chapter 12, in this chapter it talks all about having faith when you’re going through trials! A scriptures I love for this chapter is in verse 27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them. As we continue and have faith we can accomplish anything! Jesus taught us that If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. I can testify of this! Heavenly Father has given us an amazing gift that will help us grow our faith more and more everyday and it is called the book of Mormon! I encourage y’all to read it everyday and I can promise you that as you do this your faith and testimony of Jesus Christ will grow! Another Experience from this week happened on Friday. We did back to back service that day! We left our house at 8 am and did cow fencing till 4 pm and left straight from there to the tiny house we have been helping build and helped install the plumbing and put in a vanity! When we got home we pulled into our home at 9:30! I slept really good that night Haha! Now the day y’all have been waiting for, Saturday! On Saturday we got together with these super great guys named Carter and Joseph, they both go to the same church and have really been fascinated in what we believe! In the beginning if was more of teaching and now they have just become really great Friends! They invited us to this little dinner in town Called Tipton Cafe and bought us breakfast! Such great guys! Some back ground info on them is that Joseph is Carters friend and we found Carter over Facebook! He’s 18 years old but the crazy thing about him is that he is a genius! He graduated high when he was 14 and already has his bachelors degree in teaching and is a Math teacher at the high school! We always make jokes that he is like Sheldon from Big bang theory haha! He has tons of funny story’s about being a junior in college when you’re 15 haha! After the breakfast we left and went to the church to make sure everything was ready for the baptism! The clothes, chairs, font, etc. This was the first baptism in 7 months in Greeneville so he had to literally wipe the dust out of the font haha! When it was all ready for the water it takes about and hour and half to completely feel! Well if I have learned anything from being a missionary, you have to expect the unexpected! Well the water heater BROKE! the water was a chilling 55 degrees🥶 reminded me of Bear lake!😂In the end Jared, Autum, Ayden were all good sports and it was such an amazing experience and one I’m sure they will remember the rest of their lives! I’m so grateful that I got the privilege of helping them make sacred covenants with our Father in Heaven! After the baptism Autum asked me if I would be the one to help her receive the Holy Ghost and give her a blessing! It was such an amazing experience and a great way to end a transfer and on that note, we had transfer calls that night after the baptism and my district is getting really switched up! First off I’m getting a new companion in Greeneville and I have no clue who it’s going to be haha! Its someone that was injured and had to go home but is coming back, so I’ll find out who on transfer day! The other Greeneville missionary are both leaving so they’re White washing their area and sisters are going in there place! Kind of a bummer because now we have to go to a laundry Matt instead of there house haha! So this upcoming transfer will be pretty different! I’m excited and nervous for what is coming next! Well its been an amazing week! I hope y’all are had a great week as well and I’ll see you guys next week! Much love❤-Elder EhrhartSent via the Samsung Galaxy S10e, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

Hey guy,
Its been a great week! Let me start off by saying how much I love Tennessee! There is never a dull moment here haha! We got a call from a member in our ward named brother Parker they needed our help delivering a calf! It was a pretty amazing experience and definitely one that I wouldn’t have been given the chance to do if I wasn’t here!
Another cool experience that I had this week was a call that we got from a sister in our ward…when I was in high school I completed my first year of electricians license! This is something that I really enjoy doing! Well, her family needed our help. They were moving and had to leave their house they were selling. The plan was to move into a tiny house until the real house is finished. Well they got scammed by their electrician and had no idea what they were going to do! Well I can testify to y’all that God works mysteriously and he always has a plan!
We got the call at about 10:00 pm. In a pretty somber voice she asked us if we had any work experience in construction, I told her about my work experience in electrical…She then began crying and telling us that it was a complete answer to her families prayers! She told us everything that went down with her electrician and that she had no idea what she was going to do! She told us that it was such a blessing from Heavenly Father!
The next day we showed up at the work site and I got to work! I ran all the wires, installed all the boxes, put in the can lights and ran it all to the breaker I had installed! Who would have known that something I love so much and practiced would be exactly what this family needed!
I can Testify to y’all that Heavenly Father loves and knows us all! He sent us his son so that we could have an Endless Comforter to be with us always!
Before I end this I want to tell one more amazing experience that happened this week! So me and my companion were planning a couple weeks back and we came across this woman named sister Akins. She was baptized about 25 years ago but had been in active most of that time. We both felt super prompted to go visit her! We drove to her house, it was quite an adventure haha! For those of you that have never been to Tennessee they really like to make their roads as narrow as possible with no shoulder! It’s all rolling hills! At the side of each road there is a 6 foot drop for all the rain they get so it so it’s definitely pretty intense haha!
We made it to her house safely and knocked on the door! She opened it and was so happy to see us! She lives in a tiny trailer home with her 4 kids and husband! She told us about how life has been really hard on her family and that she had been praying to feel God’s peace again in her life! She told us so come back again and teach her whole family! We have been teaching them every Thursday and calling them every Saturday! We had the opportunity to put her whole family on date and their daughters friend as well! They are all getting baptized on the 20th of February and I couldn’t be happier for them! I have really gained a testimony that family’s can be together forever! I constantly thank my Heavenly Father for the amazing family I have been given! Well I love y’all! Also please feel free to email me david.ehrhart@missionary.org🙂
Much love

Hey guys,
Sorry that I haven’t wrote alot in the passed couple weeks but it’s been pretty crazy! So I’m still super new to Greeneville but that definitely didn’t hold them back in my ward haha!
So last week was my first time going to church in my new area and before asking me what my name was or getting to know me, my bishop asked me if I could pray today in church and give a talk next Sunday! They’re definitely keeping me on my toes Haha!
I was asked to speak on a Talk given By Neil L. Anderson in the October 2020 conference called “We Talk of Christ!” This is such a great talk, and its really one of my favorites! As I was preparing for my talk that I gave on Sunday my mind instantly when to how important it is to have Christ as the center of our lifes! A quote given by President Nelson says “As we invest time in learning about the savior and his atoning sacrifice, we are drawn to him, our focus becomes riveted on the savior and his gospel”. Our Savior tells us to “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.” That is exactly what we must do!
About a month ago my mission had the opportunity to hear from Elder Kearon who is on the presidency of the quorum of 70! He talked almost entirely on how important it is to always keep ourselves humble! He told us that if any person were to see us they should be able to see the Savior! As we do this our lives will be blessed in ways we can’t even amazing!
He continued on about how Crucial Missionary work is! It doesn’t matter if you’re 8 years old or your 80, there will always be opportunities to be missionaries! This is something that hit me so strongly! I just want to testify how important it is to always be looking for missionary opportunities! As full time missionaries we’re constantly moving and changing areas, never staying to long in an area but that is why it’s such a blessing for you members! As you make those relationships with your friends and neighbors always find missionary opportunities to talk about Christ!
In my last area this is something that really made a difference! We asked all the members to pray in the morning and night and ask Heavenly Father who they could visit that was not a member of our Church! We Gave every family in the ward a Book of mormon and asked them to write down their testimonies and give it to someone that they felt prompted too!
A week later missionaries would check up on them and see how they were doing! The results were better than I could have ever imagined! I now encourage y’all to try it! As you pray to find people, God will bless you with success. It is my testimony that as we center in Jesus Christ and talk of Christ we can always feel his love!
I know that the Savior loves every single one of us and he atoned for us all! It is such a blessing that I get to serve the people of Tennessee and I want to say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Love y’all❤

Hey guys!
It’s been a crazy couple of days. On Saturday we had transfer calls… President said “I know that I told you guys that I was going to be keeping companionship together for along time but I decided that I am going to switch it up this time and change everything!”
So we’re waiting on zoom for no joke like an hour at 9:30 pm it finally starts! Before I continue, let me give some info Haha. My apartment is Elder Campbell, and Elder Tolson and Labastida! I have been with Campbell and Tolson for about 4 months so I have adapted pretty well to them!
Anyway, we start listening and the first thing they say is that Tolson will be training a new missionary in Hixson 2, then Labastida with be leaving Hixson and going to Cleveland, Campbell will be leaving Hixson and going to Maryville, and then it finally gets to me and I honestly thought I was going to be staying in Hixson because they usually keep one person from the companionship because they know everything about the area. But I’m leaving Hixson and going to Greeneville! I’m going from the very bottom of Tennessee to the very top! My new guy is named Elder Miller and I hope he’s awesome but I guess we’ll see haha!
Transfer day is on Wednesday so I’m honestly really sad I’m leaving Hixson but I’ll go around and say good bye to everyone in Hixson! I’m definitely going to come back someday!
Okay here is the other crazy thing that happened! So it’s like 11:30pm and we get a call from the Chattanooga sisters and they’re crying telling us that there is a super creepy guy wearing a mask and a trench coat trying to break into there house! So we tell them that we’re on our way!! We all put on our clothes and drive as fast as tiwi would let us! (For those who don’t know what tiwi is, it is a little machine in our car that makes us drive safe and gets mad that us if we don’t) Campbell was driving and got an aggresive violations and a camera ticket for running a red light!
haha but we got there and ran around the house to see if we could find the creep but he was gone…Labastida is a about 5’4 and Filipino and he is really into karate so he really wanted to use some kungfu haha so we were walking around the house and I guess in the commotion Labastida called the cops so like 3 cops came and literally told us that it was probably just a homeless guy on drugs trying to find somewhere warm!
So, pretty much told us to not call again haha, well we left and didn’t get home till around 12:45! Such a crazy way to end a transfer haha! Well I’ll talk to you guys next week, wish me luck!
Love
Elder Ehrhart

Merry Christmas Y’all! I hope everything is well back home in Utah! So I thought I might just talk a little bit about how blessed I am to have a Savior that loves and cares about me. Especially during these Christmas times! Last week during my personal study I began to read in Isaiah 9, As I was reading I came across verse 6! In this verse it reads “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” God loves us so much that he gave us this perfect soul, this Prince of peace!
As I read this my heart was instantly full of love! As I have been out on my mission it has definitely made me think alot about how much I love my family! This has been my first Christmas away from home and it has definitely been one to remember! I’m so grateful that I have been blessed into a family that loves and cares about me so much! I will forever be grateful to my Father in Heaven for the blessings he has given me! I would like to bear my testimony to y’all… I know my Savior loves me and that His love is everlasting! I know that he has atoned for all of our sins and that because of it we can all live again! I know that as we continue to do what is right and follow his teachings we can have everlasting life! I’m so blessed to have such amazing parents that have helped shape me to the man I’m today! I want to testify that God loves each of you and that he has given us the Savior of the world to give us direction during these hard times.
I’d like to say this in the holy name of our redeemer, our everlasting father, and the prince of peace himself Jesus Christ! Amen

Hello Everyone,
Okay so we had some major blessings happened on Wednesday! In my apartment we have 2 sets of elders but only have one car to share. So every over day one of the sets gets the car! Wednesday the other boys had the car… so Elder Campbell and I got dropped off that the church. We usually do some Facebook finding! So as we’re Facebook finding and I get a strong prompting to text this guy named Patrick!
We have met with him before but his wife got into anti and told him that it’s either the church or his family.😭 This all went down back in October, and we desperately tried to get in contact with his wife so that we could answer any of her concerns and so that she could get to know us for who we really are and not what satan puts on the internet!
Even with that she still wouldn’t meet or talk to us. So we had to stop teaching Patrick for his family situation! Well back to that prompting I felt, I ended up texting him happy holidays and that I hope everything’s going good with him and his family! He instantly texted me back, telling that he has been going though a really tough time and that he was debating trying to contact us again! He told me that it was a complete answer to his prayers and that he wanted to meet with us that night at the church!
I told him that we would love to see him again! We decided that we should teach Patrick the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt that I should get some scriptures prepared if needed! When he showed up we took him into the relief society room with the white board and then he told us that he has had a feeling of darkness come over him ever since he stopped talking to us. He said, everytime he has been in the church he has felt that he is being healed from all the hatred and torment from the real world! He told us about how he has been to countless other churches in Tennessee and that he has never felt the spirit testify to him more than at our church!
After that I feel really prompted to testify to him how much God loves him and wants to help him and his family! I honestly can’t take any credit for what I told him because I was talking straight from the spirit! He told us that he knows that our church is what he needs in his life! Then I testify to him again about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what we need to do to come closer to Him and to be blessed!
I then read Luke 1:37 “For with god nothing shall be impossible” after reading that he began to cry! I know at that point he could feel the spirit so strongly! After he finished he said “are you guys feeling what I’m feeling right now?” after he said that the spirit came rushing over us! I looked at him and said “do you want to have this feeling with you always Patrick?” And then on the white board we had written up there 5 points- Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Gift of the Holy Ghosts, and enduring to the end! I told him that when we are Baptized we get to have the Holy Ghost with us always… as long as we do what we know is right! After he said when can I get it?
I asked him if he would be baptized on the 26 of December and he excepted the invitation! He gave me a huge hug and said “I want you to baptize me, God is telling me that you need to baptize me!” Such an amazing experience! After we finished He asked if we could go into the chapel and pray! He wanted to give it and it was such a heart warming prayer! I know that he is now at peace with himself and I’m so blessed to get the opportunity to teach Heavenly Father’s children, Such an honor!
Every morning when I get to put my name tag on it just reminds me how lucky I really am to be a servant of our Father in Heaven! Later that night I got a text from Patrick that said “Good news Brother, I talked to my girl and she had a complete change of heart and wants to start joining me in lessons! Life is good…if you remember before she was the one that got into anti and refused to let him meet with us! We have been given so many blessing! Its been a good week:)

Hey guys,
I’m loving it over here in Tennessee! Sorry I haven’t been sending letters in the past couple weeks! We have had zone conference and Exchanges for the past 2 week! So we have all been pretty swamped!
To start this off I have a story for you guys that happened last week! So, in my apartment we have 4 Elders including myself! We got a call from this lady in our ward she said she needed us as soon as possible and that it’s an emergency! So we all hopped in the car and drove as fast as possible to her house! Here is some back story for you guys…this lady has 2 daughters with major autism but one of them also has schizophrenia. So we get there and right when we got in the house all you could hear was screaming and glass breaking! Our poor sister from our ward woke up late last night to her daughter destroying her kitchen!
This lady in our ward that we’re helping is about 65 years old and is definitely not strong enough to try and stop her daughter while she is going through her episodes! She told us that she was too afraid to go down stairs because in past times she has been kicked or hit by things and knocked unconscious and suffered extreme concussions! So this was gonna be pretty intense Haha!
Ater we finished talking we carefully went down the stairs to where her daughter was at and as we peered our heads around the corner of the stairs we saw her trying to pick up the TV and throw it on the ground! Before she threw it us… elders ran over and grabbed it from her before it hit the ground! After that we each grabbed a hand and or a leg and put her on a chair and restrained her. As we did this I ran around the back of the chair and blessed and anointed the oil and gave her a priesthood blessing. As I finished the blessing she instantly stopped shaking and thrashing around and just quietly sat there and feel asleep! It was a pretty amazing moment for me and my companions!
I can testify that the priesthood is real and that it is here for us today to bless and save lives! I know that because of our Savior and His ever lasting atonement, we can all live with him again! I’m so grateful for this amazing opportunity I get to serve the people of Tennessee! I love you all and I’ll talk to you guys really soon!
Lots of Love,

Hey guys!
This week has been really good! We met with this guy named Patrick! We invite him to come to the church and he came and loved it! We started off by showing him all the class rooms and stuff and then game an amazing lesson on the restoration and the book of mormon! This guy is so powerful!
After talking with him he told us all about his life and he used to live in California and he said that everyone there is atheists and if you try and talk about god the people will literally kill you no joke! He told us that one time he was getting done from work and it was like 1am and these guys were doing some donuts around his car and when he started walking towards them they drove right at him and barely missed him! Then the people flipped around and started laughing that they almost hit him and then Patrick flipped the guys off and they all got out the car!
Patrick trying to be this big guy shoved these guy that got all up in his face and the guy punched Patrick in the face and knocked him to the ground and all the guys kept kicking and punching him! He got knocked out and when he came to another car showed up and with a quiet whisper he said “help me please” to the guys in the other car and the guys in the other car started laughing and the man driving said “we’re with these guys” and kicked him right in the face and knocked him out again!
As he was coming to he heard the guys saying that they had to leave right now and then his aunt just really felt that she had to check on him! She ended up scaring the guys away and she found him and took him to the hospital! He had internal bleeding and broke ribs but survived! After this experience he started doubting that God was real! He said that he prayed one night to know if God was real and he said that he had a full feeling that God was real! He told us that there must be a reason he’s still alive and it must be because God wanted me to find you! So powerful😁
After he finished his story he told him that we saved the best for last! We showed him the chapel! Right when we walked in this guy with us even telling him nothing said that he needed to sit down and right when he did he burst into tears and didn’t say a word for about 3 minutes and just cried and looked around! He looked at us and said “man what is this feeling I have right now, I have never felt it before” my guy literally got hit be the spirit so strongly!
So amazing! We explain to him what the spirit was and what things we do in the chapel! After telling him he looked at us and said “what time on Sunday can I come here:)” we told him the time of our services and then before he left he said “where can I buy on of those Book of Mormons?” We told him not to worry and we gave him one and he just jumped around and gave me and elder pauni a hug and said thank you so much! We wrote our favorite characters for him and he said “I’m excited to see you guys again really soon” such an amazing guy! God is really working though him right now and it’s so amazing to see it happen!😁
Love you guys!
