Ahoj!!

Well it was a legendary week. I have officially been on my mission for The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for a year, and I could not be
happier. It is absolutley amazing.

It was also the fourth of July! Weird being on the opposite side of the
world for that. But our sweet friend Hope, made us a fabulous dinner!

On Wednesday we went on a fabulous bike ride!!! We got to go out all day
and bike with some members and less actives and friends. For those of you
that know me really well, I WAS IN HEAVEN! I had not been on a bike in so
long, and that was a sweet tender mercy for me! We biked 37 kilometers, and
made some great new friends.

On Thursday I got to spend the day with my trainer, so that was fun, we got
to go on exchanges together. So I showed her around UH and we met some nice
new people on the streets.

On Friday we visited a member who has been a part of the church for over
twenty years. She loves the missionaries and told us that we brought the
sunshine into her life. It was very sweet of her, but really it is the
message that we are carrying for our Savior that brings the great light! It
is amazing seeing up front that happiness that it sheds on people.

We also did a bunch of trackting this week. Knocking on doors in the
blazing sun is hard at times, but so worth it when you see miracles that
come. On Sunday we did not have any water and we were trackting in a city
until the bus came back for us, which was not for another four hours. We
were really praying for some miracle. As we were walking up a hill we ran
into an old lady who we had met the week before. God literally sent an
angel to us. She was giving us referrals of houses to try who might have
interest and then she invited us into her home and gave us some cake and
her husband made some fresh lemon and mint juice. I have never felt so
refreshed. WHAT A BLESSING!!

I read a really amazing study the other day. It was about the answers to
all of your questions. I was reading along in an old liahona magazine and
it changed my perspective on a lot of things. The answer to your questions
is a question. Do you trust in God? That is what everything can lead back
to. HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Faith is such an important aspect. If you have
faith that He will bless you and help you, things will always work out.
They may not be in the way that you expected but they flow.

The other day I was feeling a little down, but then I got to see another
little tender mercy. While sitting at a bus stop I noticed a family. Two
grandparents and their grandchildren, when all of a sudden they jumped up
and started screaming for joy. Mommy!!!!! Jumping up and down smiling and
clapping their hands on their knees, their mother blushed as she walked up
in front of us and they jumped into her arms. The love that a child has for
their mother and the mother has for her children is so powerful. Simply
just the sight of their mom made their DAY!!! I am very grateful for my mom
and all of the many blessing that make me have joy. That gave me the best
smile.

This week we faced a lot of waves, but I know that it will be okay. I have
found the love of God. It strengthens me. In Alma 53:20 it talks about
being true at all times. I know that as we stand valiantly and stay true to
our faith all will be well. We will be okay and God will never stop loving
us, even if we dont feel deserving of it.

Have a fabulous week!
