Ahoj!

So it has been a little bit of a hectic week, but it has been great. I have
seen a lot of miracles and have loved every minute!

So we actually met with one guy named Jiri, and he really has a lot of
interest in learning English, but we have been sharing spiritual thoughts
with him.He does not believe in anything, buttttt know I think he does! We
invited him to pray and he did and he said that he felt something good. We
helped him identify the Spirit and had a way cool lesson with him, and
invited him to try praying about specific things and with true sincerity! I
am really excited to hear how it went, when we meet with him next week.

We also had another amazing family home evening night with some of the
young single adults and a man who works for the church institute in
Germany. We had a full on Czech sandwich dinner and laughed and sang in
English and Czech and had a grand time. We talked a lot about the Book of
Mormon and trusting in God. One girl brought a friend and I I really
connected with him and was able to explain our purpose as missionaries and
what we believe in. I am hoping that he will come again next week!

We actually had a meeting with all of the missionary leaders and it was
great. We talked about what the plans are for our mission and went over
goals and got a lot of cool inspiration and ideas for us to apply into the
work, as we expect to see lots of miracles from God.

We went on our first exchanges this week! I actually got to go with a
really good friend of mine from the MTC. Her name is Sister Harrington.
Love her!! It was so fun to serve together and recognize all the miracles
that are happening around us. I also got to spend a little bit of time in
an old area that I served in a year ago. I came on the street where a
member lived and just had to go say high. She is probably in her seventies
and has really bad knee problems, but hobbles around and just loves the
missionaries. We rang the bell and went up. I walked in. Now remember it
has been a year since she has seen me, and I really spake no Czech back
them. I walk in and she just stops in the hallway and stares at me, her jaw
drops and she runs into me with open arms, enclosing me with one of the
warmest, tightest, sweetest hugs I have ever had. She kissed me on the
cheek and said hello. I told her I wanted to say hi, but did not know if
she would remember me. She said of course I remember you. It was a very
touching moment for me on my mission. Sometimes we may look more upon our
weaknesses, in this case my language a year ago, and think lesser of
ourselves. But this woman showed me that she could look beyond our
struggles. And that same love that I showed her last year, was still in her
heart, and was brought to her remembrance once she saw me again. I love the
Czechs.

Yesterday we had one of the most amazing lessons ever. We actually went to
go have a second meeting with a person who was referred to us by a member.
We went in wanting to invite her to be baptized. We taught the plan of
salvation and read 2 Nephi 31. As she read when Jesus Christ was baptized
she stopped and said, oh this is for me. She immediately lit up. The Spirit
grew so STRONG!!! She is so prepared. She said I want to be baptized. I
have been waiting for this all of my life, for years. I am ready, I want
this. We extended a baptismal date to her in three weeks. She said that it
was fast but she knew that she could do it, and that it would be the best
Christmas present ever. Her eyes twinkled with tears and she told us that
she knew instantly when she saw us that it was right and what we had to
teach her was for her.

I have been so blessed on my mission. I know that what is taught in this
church is true. But we must ASK. We must build our testimonies and be
willing to try new things. We must TRUST in God. 2 Nephi 31. Beautiful
chapter about the doctrine of Christ. Verses 4-5 explain how we need to be
baptized, Christ was perfect and we must follow Him.

I am so excited for Christmas and I hope that you will all invite the
Spirit of Christ to thrive within your lives especially strong, during this
special time.

Love you all and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
